William H. Davis, MD, FACS, is a highly skilled and compassionate vascular surgeon at Douglas Vascular Center in Douglas, Georgia. His goal is to protect the health of his patients’ arteries and veins with the most state-of-the-art technology possible while simultaneously providing individualized attention and care.
Dr. Davis graduated from Coffee High School in Douglas, Georgia. Dr. Davis received his bachelor’s degree from Davidson College, in Davidson, North Carolina, in 1978. He went on to earn his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, in 1982, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He then completed a categorical surgical internship and a general surgery residency at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon, Georgia.
In 2000, Dr. Davis completed a certified endovascular fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. As both a Registered Vascular Technologist® (RVT®) and Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation® (RPVI®), Dr. Davis is an expert in using ultrasound technology and imaging to diagnose and treat vascular disease. He’s certified by the American Board of Surgery.
Before founding Douglas Vascular Center in 2012, Dr. Davis served as a general surgeon at Noble Army Community Hospital at Fort McClellan, Alabama (1987-1991) and then for the 475th MASH in Saudi Arabia and Iraq (1991) during Desert Storm. He practiced General and Vascular Surgery at Tift Regional Medical Center since 1991 and is currently affiliated with both Tift Regional in Tifton, Georgia, and Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Georgia. Dr. Davis is a member of the Georgia Vascular Society and is a contributor to the Georgia Vascular Foundation. Coffee County Magazine, a local publication in Douglas, Georgia, profiled Dr. Davis and his work at Douglas Vascular Center, chronicling his career as an expert vascular surgeon.
In addition to educating his patients and the general public about the importance of vascular health, Dr. Davis continually increases his own knowledge and expertise.
